Working with Monica on the Wisbech Flood Defence Scheme was like a breath of fresh air.  Her enthusiasm and commitment to engaging with the local community to understand their concerns and needs were unbounding and made a huge impact on the delivery of the scheme.  Creating an environment where residents and businesses feel they can raise issues and are listened to is where Monica’s strengths lie and this approach can be fundamental to the success of complex projects, particularly in urban environments.  Any organisation that employs Monica will benefit from a professional, committed and enthusiastic service that they won’t be disappointed in.

Environment Agency school visit to Park Lane

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in delivering the mornings activities. All of the children learnt a great deal from the interesting presentation that Tim and Nicola gave to the children on flooding. The hands-on activities, building flood barriers was an extremely effective way to get the children to understand how barriers are built and how to design and evaluate their construction.  We have left the barriers intact in school to monitor over the next two days.

All the staff and children were very appreciative of your time and the excellent resources that brought in with to complete the activities. We would also like to say a huge thank you for the excellent "goodies" that you provided us with along with the newsletter.

Please thank all your colleagues for their excellent support - the children's' learning was superb throughout the morning.

Many thanks again,

Sue Bradshaw

Many thanks also go to Monica Stonham who has been on hand in our offices on Wednesdays to provide the public with answers to their queries which has gone a long way to allaying preconceived fears amongst our citizens.
